Weather and Man Made Snow in Sestriere

On an annual basis, Sestriere's average frozen precipitation is 500cm.

This natural weather-created snowfall is helped along with 90 snow guns or "cannons" on 10km of piste - that's over 60% of the total length of Sestriere trails.

Off-piste snowboarding and sking is allowed and of course this has the secondary effect of reducing the wear and tear on snow condition on the pisted runs.
